We had a nurse in Germany insist on getting results of a urine culture after one hour.
After explaining that the culture has to incubate 24 hours at 37 degrees, she said can’t you turn up the heat and make it grow faster?
She called back and was told it is still negative after an hour and a half. She called the doctor with the results and we never heard from her again.
