As a young Medical Technologist, my job was to do the morning draws, then go back to the lab and do startup and QC on the instruments.
One morning, “Harry” refused to let me draw his glucose. I thanked him and said, “No problem. Less work for me”. I told the secretary he had refused so she could inform the doctor.
The lab opened at 8 am for outpatients. The first person through the door was “Harry”. He told our secretary he had to have his blood glucose drawn. Yep, you guessed it. I was the one who had to draw the outpatients. As I still had the needle in his arm, he said “You’re nice. You’re nothing like the bitch that came to my room this morning.”
I looked him straight in the eyes and said “Harry, I AM that bitch!”
