My phleb on midnight shift answered a phone call from a doctor notorious for being nasty when called in the middle of the night by nursing.
“This is Dr ******. I need results of ‘so and so’ culture AND DON’T PUT ME ON HOLD.”
She said ok and hung up on him!!
We both looked at each other in shock! Needless to say I had all info ready and answered myself with an apology when he called back.
