One of the techs was also a nun as well as a licensed CLS. I was in Micro and had to call someone at county public health, something unusual and I wasn’t sure who I needed to talk to.
After about 15 minutes on the phone, and being transferred the 6th time, the call dropped.
I didn’t know Sister Mark had come into the micro department and was right behind me when I lost the call. I put the phone in front of my face and yelled “God Damn You”. And I heard Sister respond “Now Steve, you know you shouldn’t blame Him”.
Still angry, I twirled around and said “I’m Not; I’m praying for Divine Intervention!”.
Her response was “that’s OK then”
That’s the ONLY time I came up with the right response when I needed it!

In my experience, nuns are usually mean about these things. I’m surprised she said”that’s OK” LOL 🤣 without preaching much
