Wrongfully Accused

I went to the employee restroom to pee, because someone was already using the lab restroom. When I went in, it was pretty obvious that someone had pooped in there, and the smell was just lingering.

I actually had to hold my breath while peeing; and had to hurry and washed my hands as fast as I could.

When I came out of the restroom, a guy from another department was already waiting outside. Worried that he would think it was me who was responsible for the smell, I proactively told him that it wasn’t me.

He just smiled and told me “sure!”.

Oh man, I could just tell from his face that he didn’t believe me at all! And there’s just no way for me to prove my innocence! Like really, what am I gonna do to prove it wasn’t me??

I just felt like I was wrongfully accused at that moment. ❌⚖️?‍♂️
