Another funny and memorable story from one of my many nursing home draws.
I have to draw a patient in the memory wing of the nursing home next door. For those who are unfamiliar, the memory wing houses patients in need of specialized attention because of late stage dementia.
I walked in, introduced myself, and explained I have to do a draw. He was holding something in his hand. At a glance, it looks like some sort of a brown clay. You know, just like Play Doh that I used to play with as a child.
As I got closer, he gave out his hand holding his “toy”. It was a massive piece of turd! He asked,”Would you want this? I don’t know what to do with it.”
Wow! I wanted to scream. Ewww! But considering he was very confused because of his condition, I called a nurse for help and she came and helped him get rid of it.
That was disgusting! Times like these makes me appreciate working in the lab. 😀
