We had about a 2-3’ blizzard once. So bad that many lab people couldn’t get in on their own.
They sent the 4-wheel drive brigade to bring me to work and I ended up working 36 hours straight. When they finally took me back home, I shared the ride with a custodian.
When I mentioned how long I had been awake, the dear man remarked, “You know, that’s not good for your health.” quite seriously.
Priceless!
