At a clinic that I worked at we got a call asking how long it took to get the results of a STD.
Since we did a lot of premarital and prenatal testing for syphilis we started to give him that info – he interrupted and said he was talking about the one that created pus on the penis.
Our reply – embarrassed “Oh, well, the doctor will make a slide and it will only take us a few minutes to do the test”.
Turns out he had sex with a “strange woman” for a few days and needed to know if he was going to have to tell his wife to get tested.
