Back in the day when I worked as a phlebotomist, I had the most interesting encounter with a demented patient at the nursing home.
I introduced myself and told grandma that I need to draw a blood sample. The patient was telling me something about “killing”. In my mind, who got murdered?
When I got done, I managed to catch the nurse and asked what it was all about.
The nurse said she told the patient that she killed the light because it’s time for the patient to sleep. The demented patient asked, “what did you do?”
She jokingly answered, “I stabbed the light and slit its throat”.
The patient looked horrified at what she did to the light. She regrets scaring the poor grandma.
