Back in the day, we needed first morning urine for pregnancy tests.
A patient called asking what kind of container to use.
I told her, “Anything clean—a baby food jar, jelly jar… whatever you have.”
Next morning, her specimen shows up.
In a jar.
A peanut butter jar.
With peanut butter still in it… and the urine.
At that point, I realized…
I should’ve emphasized the word clean.
