Back in my internship days in the Philippines, I had to do my clinicals at this mid-sized hospital in my home town. We were short staffed one day,and I was assigned to work at the records release section. That was back in the days when patients have to pick up their results so they can share with their doctors.
One day a 14-year old girl came in with her mother. Apparently the daughter was experiencing abdominal pain and her doctor ordered a urine pregnancy test done. We told them the results will be ready for pick up in an hour.
An hour later, mom and her daughter came back. When they saw the results, the mom has this astonished look on her face! Telling her daughter, how can you be pregnant? These results have to be wrong! No one has ever touched you! Her daughter was dead silent…
It’s like Vegas. What happens in Vegas, stays at Vegas. What happens when mom isn’t watching, mom doesn’t have to know 😀
