I was on a ward taking early morning blood samples. I approached a man in his bed and explained what I was there for and saw that he had IV’s in both hands.
Undaunted I told him, don’t worry, I never met a leg I couldn’t get blood from.
He laughed and said good luck as he threw the covers off. I just stared at the empty space where his legs should have been and he gestured to the side where his prosthesis were and said help yourself!
