During my clinical rotation, I was sent to draw a 90+ yr old man. I came in the room and introduced myself. He said nothing. I noticed he was nodding his head and shaking a little. Thought maybe he couldn’t talk, maybe stroke,idk.
I verified his arm band, verbally explaining to the man what I was doing, still nodding and shaking. I get finished with the draw, the sheet falls back.
THIS MAN HAD BEEN MASTURBATING THE WHOLE TIME!!!!!!
THEN, he tells me, thank you, have a nice day. Never, assume an old person has had a stroke!!!! I mean, he was stroking, but not the kind I thought.
