Had a patient who was mean and rude, and I had to draw blood on her. She actually threaten to punch me if I hurt her. Tried my best to be professional with this lady.
Blood draw went great, no problem.
Then the stool collection was next. For some reason, she didn’t want her boyfriend who was with her the whole time, to stay in the phlebotomy room.. she indicated she didn’t want her boyfriend to be staying in the phlebotomy area, and possibly talking to me. In my mind, whoa! wtf?!—her boyfriend was not Ryan Reynolds, so there’s that!
So the patient and her boyfriend both went inside the restroom. After a few minutes, I could hear the boyfriend gagging! I kept hearing the gagging until they came out of the restroom. Poor guy!
Couldn’t help but laughed..some patients are just weird.
