Patient came to the laboratory to have a Computer Assisted Semen Analysis (CASA) done. I was pretty sure I explained to him in great detail instructions on how to properly collect his semen sample. After that, I handed him a sterile cup to put his semen sample in. He then proceeded to the collection room to start the collection process.
A minute later, he came out with his sample.
“Wow that was fast!”, I thought.
I then started working on the sample and found out that the cup was completely full. When I opened it, OMG he gave me a urine sample.
It’s hard to believe that after spending all that time giving him instructions on how to collect a sample, he still managed to give me the wrong sample.

This logic doesn’t sit right with me 🙁
Can I share this post? It’s really good advice worth sharing! My crowd would get a lot from this too.
