I was getting ready to draw blood from a patient when he asked me if I was a nurse. I explained that I was a phlebotomist when he started to say the word a few times.
It occurred to him that if he said a funny way it would mean something entirely different so he asked me, “A phlebotomist does that mean you’re going to feel my bottom?”
I explained that if he had those kinds of problems that the NP could take a look.
