A very common thing I’m sure we all have dealt with, but my favorite are patients who lie even when we can make allowances if they tell us the truth.
A patient came in for her usual fasting diabetic review. When asked if she had anything to eat or drink in the last 8+ hours, she answered no.
A few days later she returned very worried because the doctor had reordered testing because her glucose level was insanely high.
She then continued to ask me “Could it have anything the do with the can of red bull I had just before coming in for my test”
