Went to our skilled nursing facility to draw blood on one of the residents. I usually engage on a conversation with my patients just to be friendly and keep them at ease.
While talking to my patient, he then asked me if I was going to sell his blood. Told him no. Couldn’t really tell if he was serious or joking. But seems like he was just kidding.
He then asked me if I was going to drink his blood. I pondered for a moment, smiled, and then said “I’m going to make a Bloody Mary with your blood”. I could just see from his eyes—he was so confused and could not tell if I was just joking or not.
Few seconds later, I burst out laughing and told him I was kidding. He laughed and was obviously relieved to hear no Bloody Mary with his blood.
