I had a coworker that had IBS who’s been having “issues” all morning.
We had a patient that came in for a stool collection kit for C-Diff. We asked all patients to refrain from doing stool collections in the lab restroom (only because C-Diff is highly contagious).
Unbeknownst to me the patient did use the restroom. I went in the restroom to drop tablets for a drug screen and there was shit clear up the wall!!!
I said to my coworker OMG, HOW DID YOU NOT REALIZE YOU SHIT UP THE WALL? Well, she cleaned it up thinking she did it.
A few minutes later the lady came back in with her sample, gloves and cleaning wipes letting us know she had an “accident” in our restroom and got cleaning supplies from the doctor’s office.
We STILL LAUGH about this all the time!!!
