Jemina Apostol MLS & Kim

My name is Jemina. I go by Jem. I graduated in tech school back in July of 2015. Took my  boards in Feb 2016. I  have been a generalist for 9 years. I picked a career in laboratory sciences because I have always been behind the scenes.

I enjoy working and knowing my patients through a piece of them and helping diagnose and treat diseases. I can say I am a shy type of person and would rather go unnoticed but be the backbone of a bigger foundation just like the laboratory.

I work in a hospital at Milwaukee and been there for a year. I have always been in a clinic and worked there for 8 years. I transitioned to a hospital setting because I wanted to further my career and advance my knowledge in laboratory sciences.

On my free time, I enjoy being with my cat, watching TV shows (crime, romance, historical fiction), traveling, checking out small restaurants and shops, and lastly, I enjoy shopping both online and in store. That’s pretty much who I am.

This is Kim. I’ve had her since she’s 11 weeks old. She is turning five years in August. She’s just an ordinary cat with an extraordinary personality! She sends me out the door on my way to the lab and runs to the door to greet me after a hard day in the lab, which wipes out all the misfits of the day.

She sleeps with me in cold nights which is comforting. She joins me for breakfast and dinner (since I eat lunch at work) on weekdays. She loves lickable treats and wet food! Her favorite is tuna and salmon flavor.

She hates getting startled and loud noises. Kim is my everything and my companion! I love her for being there for me in my toughest times.
