Abbott ID Now - Specimen

What kind of specimen do you guys use? Nasopharyngeal swab? Or nasal swab? We’ve been using NP, but wondering if it’s safe to switch to nasal swab. Patients would prefer nasal swab. Both are acceptable specimens for this platform.

I'm following this one. We're going to start using the Abbott ID Now soon.

We switched from Sofia2 to the Abbott ID Now. We just stayed with doing a nasopharyngeal swab to not confused our collectors in the ambulance garage where they are done by nurses.

We have been using NP swabs. Seems like it's the best specimen for Covid testing compared to nasal swab. Although, China prefers the anal swab..that's a different story though.
