The Doctor helps identify our bacterial/fungal organisms through the process of Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization Time of Flight, but it’s easier to say the Doctor takes our samples through time and space and brings our IDs back to us. Also, it kind of looks like a Tardis 😁.
